PLANNING AND MARKETING MANAGER

The PMM III is a key member of the department who works collaboratively to help achieve organizational goals for our mission-driven, academic healthcare system. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product & Services Marketing, this position will support a wide variety of marketing and communication projects, as assigned. This will require strong project management skills, the ability to juggle disparate projects simultaneously, the ability to segment target audiences, and the use of writing/communication and visual/technical skills to drive effective communications - all while maintaining cohesiveness of messages across multiple channels. Examples of work may include, but are not limited to: Internal communications projects for employees at CHA hospitals, ambulatory centers and professional offices. This may include writing content, creating printed collateral with the creative team, and managing events. Working with service lines to create marketing plans that achieve business goals while respecting the wants and needs of our diverse customers (patients). This may include culturally-appropriate advertising and direct communications (email, direct mail, print, texting). This work will grow the number of patients using key services or to convince patients to make preferred health decisions. Creating content and posting on the CHA website, social media and other digital platforms. Planning and directing photography or video shoots, including creating storyboards and managing logistics, to meet agreed-upon goals. Enhancing the CHA Brand by implementing strategies to build awareness and reputation with key target audiences. Obtaining feedback from key customers - online, focus groups, Patient/Family Advisory Council and referral sources. Use information to drive and shape marketing/communications efforts. Approach and mindset: Must be a team-player, willing to respect and support a group of high-functioning colleagues. Must be able to understand goals and identify creative approaches on a limited budget. Must be engaged and open to constant learning within an exciting, dynamic system. Must follow through on assignments and be a good ambassador for the department. Willingness to be an on-the-ground implementer and share the busy-work. Qualifications: Bachelors preferred. Masters in Business or Healthcare Administration desirable or equivalent years of experience 5-7+ years marketing/communications experience. Hospital/healthcare experience preferred. Understanding of health care delivery, including hospital/physician practice operations, health care coverage, and service providers a plus. Knowledge of local multilingual, multiethnic communities or bilingual in Portuguese or Spanish a plus. Strong writing/communication skills, including ability to synthesize complex healthcare information into a consumer-friendly format. Highly organized with good project management skills. Experience working with graphic designers or agencies, including the ability to evaluate creative (posters, flyers, website, advertising, etc.). Proficient computer skills and the ability to learn the CHA Content Management System. Ability to travel independently to off-site events and meetings. Willingness to work evenings and weekends, as needed, to complete high priority assignments or help manage crisis situations. [cha072516]
