Director of Marketing and Business Development

We are looking for a strategic and innovative Director of Marketing and Business Development to serve as a catalyst for our recent rebranding efforts and lead our marketing and business development team. You will develop and execute strategies utilizing our mission and vision statement to continue to build awareness and positioning for our brand and strengthen our presence in current and future markets. Our ideal candidate will have proven marketing and business development experience, thorough branding knowledge, and the ability to effectively utilize words and imagery to communicate the best of what Kingscott has to offer. How you will make an impact: Lead a team of individuals to build out our marketing plan, reach our set goals, and implement our marketing strategies. Working with Leadership to create a vision and a plan for Business Development in current and future market sectors. Write engaging business proposals, aligned with our mission and vision, that convert and win new clients, speaking to their direct needs. Establish creative marketing materials that center around our new brand and create more brand awareness. Overseeing and managing our school bond campaign marketing efforts. Determine current trends, demographics, and other relevant information to adjust our current marketing and business development strategies and generate new ones. Monitor competition movements and adjust strategies. Maintain technical knowledge by attending conferences and educational workshops, reviewing business publications, and participating in professional associations. Communicate expectations, hold the marketing and business development team accountable, and provide training, feedback, coaching, and mentoring to enhance individual and overall performance. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of internal processes by providing best practice recommendations. What you need to be successful: Bachelors or masters degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field. 7+ years of proven marketing experience and a solid understanding of traditional, digital, and emerging marketing channels and social media engagement. Proficiency in marketing strategies, industry analysis, and branding. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong writing skills and demonstrated ability to produce articulate and persuasive client proposals and marketing programs and promotions. Track record of setting direction and leading and motivating a team to exceed deliverables. Graphic design experience is a plus.
